Spam Blocker Privacy Policy

Spam Blocker ("the app", package com.pitech.spamblocker) is published by PiTech ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: Spam Blocker does not collect, transmit or share any personal data.
The app does not collect personal information, does not require an account, contains no advertising, and includes no third-party analytics or tracking. We operate no servers that receive your data. Call and message data is never uploaded.
Call screening and phone state — used to evaluate incoming calls against your filter rules on the device, and to block calls you have chosen to block.
SMS — used to read incoming messages so they can be matched against your filter rules on the device. Message contents are never transmitted anywhere.
Contacts — used only to check whether an incoming number is already known to you, so contacts can be allowed through. Your contact list is not copied, exported or uploaded.
Notifications — used to tell you when something has been blocked.
Your filter rules, allow and block lists, and the history of blocked calls and messages are stored in the app's private storage on your device only. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes it.
Spam Blocker is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on request. To remove everything the app has stored locally, go to Android Settings → Apps → Spam Blocker → Storage and clear it, or uninstall the app.
Spam Blocker is based on the open-source project SpamBlocker by aj3423, distributed under the MIT license. PiTech is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original developer. You can verify every claim on this page by reading the source.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will appear on this page with a new "Last Updated" date and will be noted in the app's release notes.
